Board and Supervisory Committee Elections
In 2021, there will be three Board positions and three Supervisory Committee positions available. The Nominating Committee has selected the following candidates for your consideration:
Board of Directors Candidates
Barrie Forbes
Barrie, an incumbent, is nominated for another three (3) year term that will expire in 2024. Barrie is a member of the Board of Directors and serves as Board Treasurer. She retired from PPL in September 2017 after 10 years in various positions in the Human Resources, Internal Audit, and Information Systems departments. Prior to that, she worked as an IT consultant for Computer Aid. Prior to Computer Aid, Barrie worked for 14 years with Meritor Savings Bank (formerly PSFS) in branch banking and Human Resources. Barrie received her BA degree from Denison University and her MBA from Widener University.
Marjorie Solomon
Marjorie, an incumbent, is nominated for another three (3) year term that will expire in 2024. Marjorie is a Member of the Board of Directors and serves on the Strategy Committee. She has been on the Board since 2008. Recently retired, she had been a PPL employee for 41 years and had worked in supervisory roles, and as a Contact Representative and a Customer Service Representative. She had been volunteering as a tutor at a local elementary school in the city of Allentown over the past 17 years. She was the Treasurer of the Lehigh Division Employees Activities Committee, LDEAC, where she had served for a number of years. She also served on the committee for the African American Business Resource Group, AABRG, at PPL.
Brent Shick
Brent, a first-time nominee appointed by the Board of Directors to complete the term of a retiring Board Member, is nominated for a three (3) year term that will expire in 2024. Brent has worked at Computer Aid for 22 years, where he had many opportunities and served the local community. Outside of work, he served as treasurer, 10 of the last 14 years, and as youth leader, 15 of the last 20 years, at his church in Trexlertown. Brent went to college for accounting but switched majors his first year. He has a degree in computer science and has worked 35 years in the IT field.
Supverisory Committee Candidates
James Mahoney
Jim, an incumbent, is nominated for another three (3) year term that will expire in 2024. Jim has been a member of the Supervisory Committee since February 2013. He is currently the Director of Finance at the Lehigh Valley Center for Independent Living. Jim has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Penn State and an MBA in Finance from DeSales University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
Joseph Otto
Joe, an incumbent, is nominated for another three (3) year term that will expire in 2024. Joe is the Assistant Controller at Computer Aid and joined the Supervisory Committee in March of 2018 to finish out a one-year term. Prior to Computer Aid, Joe spent 2 years as an Accounting Manager for Comcast and 6 years in Public Accounting for Baker Tilly, LLP (formally ParenteBeard, LLC) and Hilger Flick & Company where he focused on Audit and Tax. Joe received his BA in Accounting from Temple University and has been a Licensed CPA in Pennsylvania since 2012.
Robert Cichonski
Bob was appointed by the Supervisory Committee in May of 2020 to complete the term of a retiring Supervisory Committee Member. Bob is nominated for a one (1) year term that will expire in 2022. Bob is a Senior IT professional with experience in developing and supporting organizations in Financial Management and Technical Infrastructure.
