In line with our commitment to financial education and our local community, GOLD Credit Union is proud to offer a course designed to help the Scouts earn the Personal Management merit badge. Known for being one of the most complex badges, the Personal Management merit badge is a necessary requirement to earn the coveted title of an Eagle Scout.

One of GOLD’s very own team members, Ashley Quinn, is a certified Personal Management Merit Badge Counselor. Ashley will be conducting a 13-week course teaching Scouts valuable financial literacy and life skills. Throughout the 13 weeks, Scouts will be required to maintain and manage a written budget.

Program Requirements

Scouts must be 14+ years old or in high school. Scouts must commit to attend all 5 classes in the course to receive a Personal Management merit badge. The class size is limited to the first 25 Scouts that register.

Classes will be held virtually through the online meeting platform, GoToMeeting. The dates and times are as follows:

  1. Tuesday, March 9, 2021, from 4:00-6:00 PM
  2. Wednesday, April 14, 2021, from 4:00-5:00 PM
  3. Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 4:00-5:00 PM
  4. Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 4:00-5:00 PM
  5. Tuesday, June 8, 2021, from 4:00-5:00 PM

Scout presentations will be scheduled virtually between June 15, 2021 through June 18, 2021, from 3:00-5:00 PM.
