We recognize a sound investment when we see it! That's why we're proud to support our Members' educational goals, whether you're just starting college or returning to school later in life. Each year, we offer five monetary scholarships to students pursuing higher education. Do you have dreams of a degree? We'd love to help make it possible.

How to apply for a GOLD scholarship


The applicant must be a Member of GOLD Credit Union and be attending a college, university, technical, or vocational school. Review our scholarship application form for full eligibility requirements. Credit Union Board of Directors, volunteers, employees, immediate family members, and previous scholarship winners are not eligible.

2020 Application Period

We will be accepting scholarship applications from December 16, 2019 through March 31, 2020. Scholarship funds in the amount of $1,500 will be awarded to each of the winners on Saturday, April 25, 2020, at our Annual Meeting.

How scholarship winners are selected

2020 Selection

Five GOLD Credit Union scholarship winners will be selected through a random drawing in April. Your chance of receiving one of the five scholarships depends on the number of applications received by the deadline. All winners will be contacted by phone and/or email. Selected applicants must consent to allow GOLD Credit Union to use his or her name, photograph, and testimonial for promotional and marketing purposes. Winners will be required to provide additional biographical information and proof of enrollment.

Please join us in congratulating our most recent scholarship winners! Read on to learn more about each of our 2019 scholars.

Andrew R. Johnson

Andrew is currently attending King's College to study Business Administration with a major in Accounting. Through the study abroad program at King's, Andrew was able to study Philosophy in Greece. An accomplished student-athlete, Andrew will also be serving as the Swim Team Captain for the 2019/2020 school year. 


Jennifer Ross

Jennifer earned her Associate of Science Degree this past December at Northampton Community College, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Jennifer is currently enrolled as a Junior studying Sports Medicine at East Stroudsburg University. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys volunteering at Horses and Horizons.


Eric Brinckman

Eric graduated from Emmaus High School in 2010 and is now attending Penn State University, where he is working toward his degree in Bio Chemistry. Eric plans to attend medical school to become a doctor after he completes his undergraduate degree.

Samantha Biggs

Samantha graduated in 2014 from Northampton Area High School. She completed her undergraduate degree at Temple University, where she earned Summa Cum Laude honors. Samantha is now in her second-year at Montclair State University working toward her Master's Degree. 

Jack Ogozaly

Jack graduated from Freedom High School in 2016 and is currently enrolled at the University of Florida, where he is studying Philosophy and Economics. Jack is a Seneff Honors College Scholar. He was also a 2017 and 2018 National Academic Quiz Community College Championship Tournament Champion. 

Andrew J. Johnson

Andrew is currently attending the United States Military Academy at West Point.
